Test Rocky Mountain Altitude

alt

We tested the 2015 Rocky Mountain Altitude (the 790 MSL Rally Edition to be exact) on the finest trails at the Côte d'Azur. A full and detailed review will be published in the March-April issue #24.

But as some of you are spending their Christmas money or end of year bonuses or whatever here is a small tip from our side: GET IT!

It has been a while since we have thrown our legs over such a versitily machine! In one word: WOW!

The guys at Rocky Mountain really outdid themselves on this sweet rig. They truly understand what an enduro bike should be like. This thing flies uphill like a 9kg hardtail and charges downhill like a 16kg DH bike.

The area around Fréjus, St. Maxime offers the best testing grounds for a bike like this. Technical and long, long uphills and also a fine combination of fast and flowy and steep and technical downhill sections. And all of this on different terrain as well, from rocks to dirt to forest loam. And I've been riding here for little over a decade now, so I know the trails very well. This really helps in appreciating this bike because I can compare it with everything else I've shredded the trails here with.

But I must not go into detail here, let's keep that for the final article in the magazine. Look out for it! Our testbike was provided by Peerkes Bike Shop (thanks a lot for that guys), so have a look there if you want one!
