10 years and still going strong: VIENNA AIR KING 2015

Vienna, February 4th, 2015 – With its unique location and seething atmosphere the VIENNA AIR KING is an inseparable part of the FMB World Tour calendar. This year, the legendary silver event will celebrate its 10th anniversary. From April 10th to 12th 2015 mountain bike dirt jump pros and youngsters as well as thousands of spectators will come together at Vienna’s Rathausplatz to honor this jubilee. Over the years, riders from around the globe have battled hard for the VIENNA AIR KING throne. Current champion Brett Rheeder has earned consecutive titles in 2013 and 2014. But when the tires hit the dirt, who will reign victorious at VIENNA AIR KING's special 10th anniversary edition? On April 12th, at the ARGUS BIKE FESTIVAL the VIENNA AIR KING finals will commence on the Rathausplatz in Vienna. Over the past decade, the athletes have used the city’s air space to throw down the biggest tricks in their quest for the throne. What will they have in store this year? We will not be disappointed!

The line-up consists of 16 top athletes on the FMB World Tour and about 50 pre-qualifiers. Filtered through the qualification round, the most impressive 14 riders will proceed to the big final. Here, they will ride for glory, 2015 FMB World Tour points and a chunk of the 10,000 Euro prize money. At the Panasonic Best Trick competition, the craziest three tricks will be rewarded with an additional 2,000 Euro.

The pre-qualifiers can still apply for VIENNA AIR KING until March 6th, 2015. To apply, simply send an email with a current video clip to viennaairking@rasoulution.com. The application should also include a brief description of the person incl. age and residence as well as the best previous contest results.
