TAXCO City Downhill

Mick just returned from Taxco, you can see here a video he shot during the week end, including his final run:

He will talk about the event better than us:

Mick, what do you think about your week end?

I had a crazy weekend in Taxco, Mexico for the last round of the City Downhill World Tour. I made a huge mistake on my 2nd practice run and came up short on the big wooden step down which resulted in a small broken part on my prototype bike that I had no replacement for. Luckily Polygon Mexico was able to get me a bike for the race, but my practice was limited. I am stoked to have been able to finish 6th place which was enough to sneak me into 2nd place overall for the series!

Talking about the series, do you like this format of racing?

I have really enjoyed the City Downhill World Tour! The courses are a fresh challenge with a lot to process in a very short amount of practice time. The atmosphere is amazing! It’s such a rush racing through the streets with people screaming and trying to get as close to us as possible all the way down the course. Throw in a dog or 2 and a few random streams of water across the age polished cobble stones and you have an exciting ride! I’m looking forward to the series going bigger and better next year!
